WONJAE CHOI
"Go Hard or Go Home"—the motto from Wonjae's high school basketball team continues to drive his unwavering dedication to God and his ministry. After overcoming financial hardships in South Korea, Wonjae and his family relocated to Brooklyn, New York. He earned his bachelor's degree in criminal justice before moving to Michigan to pursue a Master of Divinity at Calvin Theological Seminary.
In Michigan, Wonjae gained valuable experience serving as a chaplain in both a mental health institution and a hospice, while also starting a small business selling Korean dumplings. Now, he is excited to see how God will use his diverse background to enrich his work with the Youth Ministry. Inspired by the words of Paul in 1 Corinthians 9:19-23, Wonjae is committed to becoming a minister who connects deeply with others and shares the transformative message of the Gospel.
